Dr. Kai Lars Polsterer
Astro-Informatics
at Astronomisches Institut
Ruhr-Universität Bochum (AIČRUB)
Since 2008 I'm doing interdisciplinary research in astronomy and computer-science. In cooperation with other astronomers and computer-scientists we modify modern machine learning techniques to solve data-intense-problems in astronomy.

Projects:

  1. since 2012
    Statistical Analysis of LMC/SMC Photometry
in cooperation with Dominik Bomans, Alexander Becker (AIRUB), Nicolai Bissantz, Tobias Kley (Lehrstuhl für Stochastik, RUB)
  2. since 2011
    Regression with Missing Data
