Welcome to project bm360!
The goal of this project is to observe some ~3000 radio sources
in the COSMOS extragalactic field with the Very Long Baseline Array
(VLBA) at 1.4GHz. It makes use of the multi-phase centre capabilities
of DiFX, a software correlator now in operation at the VLBA. The
project was awarded 276h of observing time, using 2Gbps recording
(256MHz of bandwidth per polarisation).
Collaborators on the project are:
- Enno Middelberg (PI), Ruhr-Universität Bochum
- Ray Norris, Australia Telescope National Facility
- Philip Best, University of Edinburgh
- Eva Schinnerer, Max-Planck-Institut fur Astronomie
- Vernesa Smolcic, European Southern Observatory / University of Bonn
- Adam Deller, Netherlands Foundation for Research in Astronomy
- Walter Brisken, National Radio Astronomy Observatory
- Emmanuel Momjian, National Radio Astronomy Observatory
- Chris Carilli, National Radio Astronomy Observatory
- Nick Scoville, California Institute of Technology
