A panoramic view of the Effelsberg 100-m radio telescope of the Max-Planck-Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany. The picture has been stitched from six single photographs taken with a Canon D-30 digital SLR camera through a Canon EF 20/2.8 wide angle lens. The valley on the right allows the telescope to observe the galactic centre for a few hours each day.
